John Bohnet Joins the EMEA Anti-Piracy Team of IRMA, the Content Delivery and Storage Association

16 May 2007 - Spaarndam, The Netherlands - IRMA, the Content Delivery and Storage Association announced today that veteran security expert John Bohnet has joined the staff of the association’s Anti-Piracy Compliance Program EMEA office.

John Bohnet, a 30-year veteran in the security industry, was the lead anti-piracy auditor and investigator for loss prevention security audits for the motion picture industry. A former police officer, Bohnet served as a Security Executive for the Rank Organisation and Director, International Security and Technology Operations, for the Motion Picture Association where he was instrumental in the design and development of the Site Security Audit Program.

Theo G. Köhler, Director of the EMEA Anti-Piracy Compliance Program, added: “I am delighted to have John on the IRMA staff and he adds a distinctive value in the value-added service we supply to our media manufacturing members in the worldwide Anti-Piracy Compliance Program. As we change our name to reflect the expanded focus into broad-based content delivery channels, John’s expertise is a natural complement to our broader scope of programs designed to protect intellectual property along the media-to-market supply chain.”  IRMA has developed industry-wide recognized anti-piracy standards for media manufacturing, destruction and recycling facilities and is expected to announce its anti-piracy and security post-production standards and similar supply chain security standards this summer.
