Sonopress Ibermemory, Madrid, Spain
Applies to IRMA's Anti Piracy Compliance Program
October 12, 2006 - Spaarndam, The Netherlands - The International Recording Media Association is pleased to inform you that they have accepted the application for the IRMA's Anti Piracy compliance Program from Sonopress Ibermemory S.A, located in Coslada (Madrid) Spain. This enrollment is part of the global enrollment initiative for all Sonopress - Arvato facilities worldwide.
With well over 100 plants already enrolled in Europe, the USA, Asia, South Africa, South and Mid-America, the IRMA Anti-Piracy Compliance Program (APCP) is well recognized as an effective weapon for replicators and duplicators to combat piracy. With this program in place, content holders are able to identify manufacturers that are protecting their interests by complying with stringent manufacturing and operational procedures.
"We have been historically connected with content protection at Sonopress since 1958 and at Iberofón since 1959," said Alberto Obregon, Sonopress Managing Director. "We are involved with all the available formats, including Vinyl, Cassettes, CD-Audio, CD-ROM and DVD, and feel a responsibility to our customers to maintain the highest level of content protection. They rely on us to look after their valuable master tapes, not only because we offer them controlled ambient conditions but also - and more importantly - because all of us here at Sonopress respect our customers' content and its value for future generations. We are all very well aware of how IRMA procedures can help us support our objectives."
Theo G. Köhler, Director of IRMAs Anti-Piracy Compliance Program for EMA said, "I am pleased to see Sonopress Ibermemory joining the Anti Piracy Compliance group as the first company from Spain. It is promising to see it join as it confirms again the value of the Anti Piracy Compliance Program for both replicating facilities and content holders, not only in Spain, but worldwide."
