Daniel Schreiber
Senior VP and General Manager, SanDisk Corporation
Daniel Schreiber undertook his current post as SVP & general manager of SanDisk’s audio/video business unit following the acquisition of msystems by SanDisk. The business unit’s flagship products – the Sansa MP3 players – are second in market share only to Apple’s iPod.
Daniel began his career as a corporate lawyer, specializing in hi-tech work and M&A. In 1997 he founded Alchemedia, a software company that developed novel technologies for protecting creative assets online. Alchemedia’s products were installed by over 10 million users, with customers including AOL, Nintendo, the DOD, FDA, PepsiCo, 20th Century Fox and HBO. Alchemedia was sold to Finjan Software in January 2003.
After Alchemedia’s sale Daniel was recruited by msystems to establish and run their Enterprise Division. He also ran the Marketing and Business Development Group, with responsibility for 30 concurrent product lines, strategy, marketing and business development.
Daniel graduated with a First Class Honors in law from King’s College London, and undertook post-graduate studies (Masters equivalent) in business & philosophy of law at Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
