Co-founder and namesake of dr.schwab Inspection Technology has as CTO and Managing Director a profound influence on all areas of the company’s activity. He has a degree in physics and mathematics from the University of Munich and is a specialist in development of laser measurement technology and optical sensor applications. Prior to founding dr.schwab IT in 2002, he was head of research and development at Dr. Schenk GmbH, where he worked for twelve years and developed numerous DVD applications.dr.schwab Inspection Technology GmbH was created in 2002 with the purpose of developing inspection systems for third generation formats. Its cofounders and managing directors, Johann Ostermayer (CEO) and Dr. Leonhard Schwab (CTO) started working with the leading Japanese BD developers from the very earliest days of the format. The aim was to have a mature product early in the process that was flexible with respect to new challenges. As the only company to produce a complete inspection solution covering all aspects of the production process, dr.schwab IT became the established market leader of third generation optical disc inspection.
